Nebraska Republican Rep. Don Bacon announced Wednesday that he is running for reelection.
“Today we made it official that I am seeking to continue serving the constituents of the 2nd Congressional District of Nebraska,” Bacon said in a statement. “We have a strong team and group of volunteers who are already connecting with people across all three counties in our district.”
Bacon, who has represented Nebraska since 2016, won reelection in 2020 by defeating Democratic challenger Kara Eastman.
In his statement, Bacon said the future of freedoms is on the line in 2022.
“While I will continue to work with my colleagues across the aisle on many issues, I will stand firm against the attempts of Bernie Sanders and the far left who seek to transform our country into something unrecognizable,” said Bacon.
