Rep. Tavia Galonski (D-Akron) announced that she was appointed to the Standing Committee on Law, Criminal Justice & Public Safety for the National Conference of State Legislators (NCSL) 2022 Summit, which convenes next month. “I am honored to have been selected to serve on the Law, Criminal Justice & Public Safety Committee at next month’s NCSL summit, and feel that my years of experience in the civil court system make me an asset to this committee,” said Rep. Galonski. “Given the current social and political climate, it is more important than ever for state legislators to be at the forefront of criminal justice reform efforts throughout the country.”

Prior to her tenure in the Ohio House of Representatives, Rep. Galonski served as a juvenile court magistrate for 14 years and has a wealth of experience in the civil justice system.
