Former Congresswoman and 2020 Presidential Candidate Tulsi Gabbard, a veteran, today announced her endorsement of Michigan Republican Gubernatorial candidate Tudor Dixon. She will be joining Dixon for a series of campaign events in Michigan on October 29th and 30th. Further details will be provided at a later date.

Dixon issued the following statement in response:

“Voters of all backgrounds are tired of being crushed by radical liberal politicians and their tone-deaf policies. Families are struggling to make ends meet as they get no relief from Biden-Whitmer’s inflation, rising gas and grocery prices, and skyrocketing violent crime.

“I am focusing on the issues that matter to Michigan families: better schools, safer communities, and improving the economy.

“Today’s Democratic Party has moved so far left and is out of touch with reality. They have abandoned American principles to instead focus on their unpopular woke agenda.

“Tulsi understands that and has been a voice of reason and common sense across party lines. She is courageously speaking her mind and showing us all what it means to be a leading independent thinker.

“I am honored to have her endorsement and cannot wait to welcome her to the state of Michigan next week!”

Gabbard recently announced her departure from the Democratic Party, citing that it's "now under the complete control of an elitist cabal of warmongers driven by cowardly wokeness.” She served as the representative for Hawaii's 2nd Congressional District from 2013-2021 and is the first American Samoan Congresswoman and first practicing Hindu member of Congress. In February 2019, she announced her candidacy for the Democratic nomination for President of the United States, becoming the first female combat veteran to run for president.
