Virginia

Congressman Morgan Griffith (R-VA) issued the following statement after he voted in favor of the Restoring Hope for Mental Health and Well-Being Act of 2022, which passed the U.S. House of Representatives:

“The mental health of our citizens deserves our urgent attention, especially after the incredible strain imposed across society by the pandemic. While not perfect, this bipartisan legislation authorizes and improves valuable programs that deliver care for mental health, recovery from substance abuse, support for schools to address the well-being of their students, and other needs. I believe it will help provide relief to the many Americans struggling with these difficulties.”

Among the provisions included in the Restoring Hope for Mental Health and Well-Being Act of 2022 is H.R. 7237, the REACHING Improved Mental Health Outcomes for Patients Act of 2022, introduced by Griffith.
