RALEIGH: Candidate for U.S. Senate Cheri Beasley visited the Garland Apparel Company’s factory. She met with members of management, local SEIU union representatives, and employees to discuss the importance of growing good-paying jobs and investing in rural economies.
“The Garland Apparel Company chose North Carolina for its business, and provided jobs to a rural community that struggled during the pandemic – like so many others across this state. We need to be focused on ensuring businesses have the resources they need to grow in our rural economies and that our talented workers have job opportunities in the communities they live in,” said Cheri Beasley.
The campaign is holding stops statewide with events to reach voters across the state, including roundtables focused on hearing from small business owners, community conversations on issues that matter to North Carolinians like lowering costs, supporting North Carolina’s farmers, and creating a Made-in-America economy, tours of vocational and training facilities, North Carolina companies, and more.
