RALEIGH: Today, a new internal poll showed that candidate for U.S. Senate Cheri Beasley is tied with Congressman Ted Budd for the North Carolina Senate seat at 46%. Despite more than 17 million dollars in outside spending attacking Cheri, the race is in a dead heat.

“Cheri is continuing to gain momentum and is positioned to win this November. Voters have a clear choice: a public servant who has spent over two decades upholding the constitution and will always put people first versus Congressman Budd, a career politician with a record of voting against the people of this state, rolling back Constitutional rights and denying election results,” said Travis Brimm, Campaign Manager for Beasley for North Carolina.

The poll’s findings are consistent with public polling showing this race is in a dead heat as Cheri gains momentum and Congressman Budd loses support.
