North Carolina

ORGANIZATIONS IN THIS STORY

Congressman Budd has repeatedly voted against lowering prescription drug prices while taking money from the pharmaceutical industry. That may work for him and his corporate donors. But it doesn’t work for us in North Carolina.

  • Within days of voting against legislation to lower prescription drug and insulin costs, Congressman Budd received thousands of dollars from pharmaceutical industry political action committees.
  • Congressman Budd has taken tens of thousands of dollars in contributions from the pharmaceutical and health products industry In Congress.
  • Earlier this year, Congressman Budd voted against the Affordable Insulin Now Act, which would have capped the cost of insulin at $35.
Congressman Budd has taken thousands of dollars from the pharmaceutical and health insurance industries while voting against lowering prescription drug costs for seniors and opposing protections for people with pre-existing conditions.

The bottom line: electing Congressman Budd is dangerous for our health.
