Congressman Budd has no solution to lowering the cost of health care for North Carolinians
- In Congress, Congressman Budd has voted to repeal the Affordable Care Act, which would lead to higher premiums and threaten pre-existing conditions protections. He once called a vote to repeal the ACA “one of the most important votes” he’s made.
- He voted against the American Rescue Plan which saved families on average, 40 percent off of their monthly premiums because of enhanced tax credits in the legislation.
- He voted against measures that would increase enrollment and decrease health care costs.
- For the state’s large veteran population, he voted against automatically enrolling them in health care.
- He also opposed the Inflation Reduction Act which will:
- Put a cap on out-of-pocket prescription drug costs for seniors at $2,000.
- Lower health insurance costs for 13 million Americans who get their insurance through the Affordable Care Act exchanges.
- Protect Medicare for current and future generations and allow Medicare to negotiate prescription drug costs.
Congressman Budd doesn’t care about making health care more affordable – North Carolinians can’t count on a Senator that consistently goes to bat for big drug companies.
