Congressman Budd Makes North Carolinians’ Health Care More Expensive

North Carolina

ORGANIZATIONS IN THIS STORY

The ACA provides affordable health care to more than 670,000 North Carolinians and protects 1.7 million people with pre-existing conditions – but Congressman Budd wants to strip them of that.

  • Congressman Budd has voted to repeal the Affordable Care Act and seeks to limit regulations on health care, all the while he has received donations from Big Pharma.
  • Congressman Budd has voted against measures that would increase healthcare enrollment and decrease healthcare costs, instead arguing for deregulation.
  • Congressman Budd has repeatedly voted against protections for those with pre-existing conditions.
  • Congressman Budd has voted against reducing the cost of insulin just this year in the Affordable Insulin Now Act, which would have capped the cost of insulin at $35.

While Congressman Budd will continue voting against measures to provide affordable healthcare to North Carolinians, Cheri Beasley will always fight for better access to affordable healthcare and supports protecting and expanding the Affordable Care Act.
