RALEIGH: Candidate for U.S. Senate Cheri Beasley nearly tripled Congressman Ted Budd’s fundraising in the third fundraising quarter of 2022. Cheri has outraised Congressman Budd every quarter since they each entered the race in April 2021.

Cheri’s campaign raised over $13.3 million for the third fundraising quarter – with North Carolinians from all 100 counties contributing to the campaign and 93 percent of donations were $100 or less. Unlike Congressman Budd, Cheri does not accept corporate PAC money and is running a people-powered campaign.

“Cheri has earned unmatched support in every quarter of this race because North Carolinians know she is the only candidate who will stand up for the people of North Carolina and put them first – every day, every time,” said Travis Brimm, campaign manager for Cheri Beasley for North Carolina. “Not even the millions of dollars Congressman Budd’s special interest pals are spending to lie about Cheri’s record can hide the fact that his campaign is flailing as voters learn about his corrupt and extreme record of putting special interests first.”

On the heels of raising over $13.3 million in the third fundraising quarter of 2022, Cheri launched her “For the People” Get Out the Vote Tour to reach voters who may have had limited access to the one U.S. Senate Debate because Congressman Budd refused to do a free, statewide debate available to all North Carolinians. Her tour will include public forums across the state, with one just this week in Asheville, and will include additional community conversations in counties across North Carolina.
