RALEIGH: This weekend, candidate for U.S. Senate Cheri Beasley was joined by Senators Cory Booker and Jon Ossoff to speak to voters about what is at stake in this election.
On Saturday, Cheri and Senator Booker met with voters at a Mecklenburg County canvass launch, a community conversation at a local barbershop in Charlotte, and held a Get Out the Vote rally in Charlotte.
On Sunday, Cheri and Senator Ossoff rallied with voters at a Wake County canvassing event, and held a Get Out the Vote rally at UNC in Chapel Hill.
Three weeks before Election Day, Cheri continues to earn unmatched momentum in the race. On the heels of raising over $13.3 million in the third fundraising quarter of 2022, and nearly tripling what Congressman Ted Budd raised, Cheri launched her “For the People” Get Out the Vote Tour to reach voters who may have had limited access to the one U.S. Senate Debate because Congressman Budd refused to do a free, statewide debate available to all North Carolinians. With polls showing this race neck and neck, Cheri’s campaign is building a “winning coalition” with her “North Carolina-centric race.”
