RALEIGH: Yesterday, candidate for U.S. Senate Cheri Beasley continued her “For the People” Get Out the Vote Tour in Eastern North Carolina. Cheri held her second “For the People” Forum of the series to answer questions from voters and reach parts of the state with less access to the one U.S. Senate Debate because Congressman Budd refused to do a free, statewide debate available to all North Carolinians. Cheri also held a community conversation cookout in Kinston to hear from voters about their concerns and rally voters ahead of the election, visited a small business in Kinston, and toured the Museum of the Southeast American Indian at UNC Pembroke.
“I am focused on spending the next 20 days meeting voters where they are and talking about what’s at stake in this election because North Carolina deserves a leader in the Senate who will stand up to special interests and Washington insiders, who believes in upholding the law and who will protect our constitutional rights,” said Cheri Beasley. “There is so much on the ballot in November and I’m ready to go to the Senate to fight for all of North Carolina.”
Cheri launched her “For the People” Get Out the Vote Tour to hold public forums and additional community conversations to reach voters across the state. Cheri continues to hold roundtables, meet with small business owners, hold community conversations on issues that matter to North Carolinians like lowering costs, supporting North Carolina’s farmers, and creating a Made-in-America economy, tour vocational and training facilities, visit North Carolina companies, and more.
