TONY EVERS ENLISTS HELP FROM PARENTAL RIGHTS FOE

Wisconsin

In a race that already had concerned parents facing off against education bureaucrats and teacher’s unions, Tony Evers has enlisted the nation’s foremost enemy of education reform and parental rights to give his flailing campaign a boost.

It will backfire. Parents know that Randi Weingarten, president of the American Federation of Teachers, is the person most responsible for the collapse of education during the pandemic. No one was a more vocal advocate of disastrous school closures. A political activist from a well-heeled national special interest group, Weingarten even thanked Biden’s Department of Justice for investigating concerned parents as domestic terrorists.

In response, Republican Candidate for Governor Tim Michels released the following statement:

“No one did more to keep kids out of their schools and unnecessarily masked once they did return than Randi Weingarten. She is the perfect person to be by Tony Evers’ side as his faltering campaign concludes. She epitomizes the anti-parent, big government, educrat blob that has turned so many schools across the country into woke laboratories while academic test scores plummet and students are denied the opportunity to succeed.  She thinks parents are the problem. So, Tony Evers happily campaigns with her? Tony Evers has failed students for four decades. It’s time for a change. Help is on the way. Parents will be empowered, students will have options, and Wisconsin schools will improve in my first four years as Governor.”
