I’m a millennial. And almost all the other millennials I know have this feeling of existential dread. Dread that the planet is warming beyond our control. That we can’t afford health care. That our parents got the good jobs and affordable housing, but we’ll be stuck working in the gig economy and paying 50% of our income in rent for the rest of our foreseeable lives. And then when we look at Congress, we don’t see ourselves represented. We see millionaires who are more concerned with satisfying their wealthy donors than ensuring the safety of our planet.
