PARAMUS, NJ — Today, September 6, 2022, on National Read a Book Day, U.S. Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) visited the Paramus Public Library. Gottheimer met with Paramus Library’s Public Relations and Outreach Director Donna Perkosky, Library Director Len LoPinto, and library staff to discuss the importance of reading and access to books for children, families, and residents. The Paramus Public Library provides free, open, and equal access to books, information, and research tools to all members of the community.

During his visit, Gottheimer helped check in and out books, as well as add protective plastic covers to new books being added to the library's collection.

“We must continue to instill in our children the importance of education, imagination, and learning. The power of getting lost in a book is too important for our children to lose,” said Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5), during National Read a Book Day. “I can think of no better place to be on National Read a Book Day than the Paramus Public Library, which helps educate our families, children, and so many in our community. Their hard work and dedication to our community does not go unnoticed.”
