Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) today issued the following statement regarding the death of his friend and former colleague, Senator Mike Enzi of Wyoming:
“Former Senator Mike Enzi was a loving family man and dedicated public servant. Through decades of friendship and service, I was privileged to learn from Mike. He cared about the future of our country in every way and kept a sharp eye on Congress’ fiscal responsibilities. Barbara and I often joined Mike and his wife, Diana, and members of Mike’s staff at their weekly Tortilla Coast dinner. I don’t often socialize in Washington but I made an exception for Mike and Diana. Mike loved to share stories about fishing back home in Wyoming, life before Congress running his family shoe store and above all else his family. He cheered his family on every step of the way.
“Barbara and I send our condolences to Diana and the Enzi family and friends. May God bless our friend, Mike Enzi.”
