As Florida continues its recovery efforts across the state in the aftermath of Hurricane Ian, Charlie Crist’s campaign for governor of Florida hosted statewide wellness phone banks to check-in and offer support to Floridians affected by the storm.

The campaign mobilized local residents in North, Central, and South Florida to lend an ear and connect impacted Floridians with important resources. Community leaders and elected officials, including State Representative Carlos Guillermo Smith, School Board Member Karen Perez, and Vice Mayor Joshua Simmons among others, joined the campaign’s efforts in Hillsborough, Orange, and Broward counties.

“Our campaign is moved by the willingness of Floridians across the state to lend a helping hand to those impacted by Hurricane Ian as our state continues its recovery efforts,” said Charlie Crist. “My heart and prayers continue to be with those afflicted, and I know together, we will rebuild the Sunshine State.”

The Crist Campaign has also pivoted its campaign bus for relief efforts, making stops in Gainesville, Tallahassee, Jacksonville and Pensacola to collect supplies and basic necessities for Floridians in Southwest Florida who were hit hard by the hurricane.
