Today, Congressman Chris Pappas (NH-01) joined Albany International and Albany Engineered Composites leadership to tour their facility and hold a town hall with their employees. Pappas secured funding for defense initiatives in the FY 22 omnibus package.
"I appreciated the chance to tour Albany Engineered Composites, see the advanced manufacturing being done right here in our district, and host a town hall meeting Albany employees to hear directly from them," said Congressman Chris Pappas. During the all-hands town hall meeting, Pappas answered questions about national security and the war in Ukraine, the need to expand high-speed broadband, our economy, how the bipartisan infrastructure law is helping New Hampshire communities, and more.

Pappas recently announced that he was named to the bipartisan conference committee that will work to negotiate a final piece of legislation based on the House-passed America COMPETES Act and the Senate's United States Innovation and Competition Act of 2021 (USICA) to make transformational new investments in research, innovation, and American manufacturing.
Pappas also secured funding in the omnibus government funding package for defense program funding for Near Net Shape Materials for Hypersonic Applications.
Pappas supported the America COMPETES Act and fought to pass the legislation in February which included several provisions introduced and co-led by Pappas to strengthen ‘Made in America' provisions and support small manufacturers and rural businesses.
