Albuquerque, NM – The Fraternal Order of Police-New Mexico State Lodge has announced their endorsement of Mark Ronchetti for Governor. The endorsement comes at a time when New Mexico is in dire need of state leadership that will get serious about fighting crime and seek to make officer safety, retention, and well-being as a top priority of their administration.

“The New Mexico Fraternal Order of Police is proud to endorse a candidate who calls for law and order across our great State of New Mexico, and at the same time, protecting our law enforcement officers,” said Robert Parra, NMFOP State President, in a letter to Ronchetti for Governor.

“I am honored and humbled to be endorsed by the Fraternal Order of Police in this race,” commented Ronchetti. “We are at a crossroads in the state of New Mexico. We are the second most violent state in the nation, and violent criminals are being let out the door as soon as they are arrested. If they do end up in prison, they’re likely to benefit from this governor’s ongoing early release order. We can either stay on the path we are on, one of failed leadership by Michelle Lujan Grisham, or we can chart a new course, where our police are supported and our streets become safer for our residents again. With this endorsement I swear to always work to support our men and women in uniform so that they can do the same for our communities.”

“New Mexicans are supporting us in record numbers with small checks written at dining room tables throughout the Ronchetti recently unveiled his 5-point plan to push back against the unprecedented crime wave that the state is currently facing. The plan focuses on ending liberal catch-and-release policies in New Mexico, appointing tough-on-crime judges, and passing new laws to place enhanced penalties on repeat offenders.
