Congressman Steve Chabot’s campaign issued the following statement Friday reacting to comments from out-of-touch Congressional candidate and former Nancy Pelosi staffer Greg Landsman.
“Nancy Pelosi’s extreme partisan agenda has hit hardworking families in Ohio’s First District with disastrous results, including rising crime and out-of-control costs for everyday essentials like groceries and gas,” said Chabot campaign manager John Gomez. “But to former Pelosi staffer Greg Landsman, ‘what does it matter?’”
“Landsman, like his mentor Pelosi, has exposed himself as having a callous disdain for the intelligence and best interests of hardworking families and small businesses,” Gomez continued. “As a city councilor, Landsman wrote Pelosi-inspired policies to defund the Cincinnati police and hit struggling small businesses with costly mandates — now, he’s desperate to downplay the disastrous impact of his former boss’s radical agenda so he can get to Washington and vote to keep her in power. Unfortunately for Landsman, voters do care, very much, who will control the levers of government in the U.S. House next year and what their policies mean for their families.
”In an interview this week, Landsman told the Cincinnati Enquirer, “the voters in the 1st Congressional District don’t care about Pelosi… When asked his current opinion of Pelosi, Landman answered the question with a question. ‘What does it matter?’ Landsman said.”
