Congressman Steve Chabot’s campaign released the following statement Monday on the Congressman’s recent endorsement for reelection by the Cincinnati Fraternal Order of Police:

“I have always stood with the men and women of law enforcement and will continue to be a champion for our police, first responders and all those who serve to protect the public safety,” said Congressman Steve Chabot. “I’m incredibly honored to receive this endorsement and look forward to continuing my service as a strong advocate for our men and women in blue and all first responders in Congress.”

“My record stands in clear contrast with that of my opponent who has chosen to side with the most radical elements of his party in an attempt to defund our local police,” Chabot continued. “While Cincinnati faced rising homicides and violent crime, my opponent pushed a plan WLWT called ‘the definition of defunding’ the police.”
