Congressman Chabot released the following statement on U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi traveling to Ohio to participate in a fundraiser for her former staffer and First District candidate Greg Landsman.
“Greg Landsman welcoming his former boss Nancy Pelosi to Ohio to support his campaign should tell First District voters all they need to know about his priorities and how he would vote if elected to Congress,” said Chabot campaign manager John Gomez. “Landsman learned his values working for Nancy Pelosi and would be a rubber-stamp for her out-of-control tax-and-spend agenda that is crushing First District families and small businesses with historic inflation.”
“On the campaign trail, Landsman refused to put rising costs or inflation in his top three issues, said ‘what does it matter’ when asked about his support of Pelosi and her inflation-fueling agenda, bragged about being a former staffer for Pelosi,” Gomez continued. “And on the Cincinnati City Council, Landsman put his Pelosi-inspired values to work by voting to increase taxes eight times and calling for an increase to the county sales tax — increasing the burden on already strained family budgets. First District families should reject the unchecked Pelosi agenda in Washington and reject her candidate for Congress Greg Landsman.”
