WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Clay Higgins (R-LA) issued the following  statement after the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that the Environmental  Protection Agency (EPA) overstepped its regulatory authority under the  Clean Air Act.

“The EPA’s actions were an abuse of authority that unjustly  penalized American industry and injured domestic energy production.  Alphabet agencies of our federal government, like the EPA, are out of  control. Today’s decision is a step in the right direction. The Supreme  Court rightfully confirmed that the federal bureaucracy does not have  unlimited authority to sidestep Congress and dictate policy to the  American people. My office will continue to fight against overreach from  unelected DC bureaucrats, and we will not stop working to unleash  American energy production.”
