U.S. Senator Maggie Hassan (D-NH) released the below statement following bipartisan Senate passage of Ukraine aid. The legislation now heads to the President’s desk to be signed into law.
“The Ukrainian people have shown incredible bravery in the face of unspeakable horrors committed by Putin. Today’s bipartisan bill provides essential aid in their fight – helping Ukraine respond to Russia’s unconscionable invasion, protecting democracy abroad, and better ensuring freedom and security around the world. America’s support during this critical hour shows that Putin’s aggression will never be tolerated and that freedom and democracy are always worth fighting for.”
