Congressman John Moolenaar made the following statement in response to President Biden calling for higher taxes on American energy companies this afternoon: "Michiganders are already facing higher energy prices because of President Biden's policies, and now he wants to raise taxes again on American energy. These higher costs will be passed on to Michigan families and hurt their pocketbooks,” said Moolenaar. "Instead of raising taxes on energy producers, we must encourage American energy development, including more oil and gas, that will create jobs and bolster our national security."
