From April 22, 2022 post.

U.S. Senator Maggie Hassan released the following statement on the passing of reporter John DiStaso:

“John DiStaso was a giant in political reporting. He set the standard for First in the Nation primary coverage – chronicling it for decades – with Granite Staters and Americans across the country turning to him for his scoops, updates, and analysis. Granite Staters are some of the most informed and engaged voters in the country, and that is in no small part due to John’s deep commitment to sharing New Hampshire political news, day in and day out. My prayers are with his family, friends, and all those who knew and loved John. I know that his legacy will live on in political journalism for the decades ahead.”
