A Mahoning Valley congressman filed re-election petitions Friday to continue to serve in Washington.

Congressman Bill Johnson (R-Marietta) filed at the Mahoning County Board of Elections with a petition with nearly 150 signatures.

Johnson, 67, has served as the representative for Ohio’s 6th congressional district since 2011 after defeating Charlie Wilson.

He was re-elected in 2020 by a large margin, defeating Shawna Roberts by more than 150,000 votes.
