From October 25, 2022 post

Today, State Senator and nominee for Congress Brad Pfaff traveled to the UW-La Crosse campus to host a roundtable discussion with State Treasurer Sarah Godlewski and La Crosse voters on threats to reproductive rights.

“With just two weeks away from the midterm elections, we are dangerously close to sending radicals to Congress like Derrick Van Orden who are running to pass a total ban on abortion,” said Brad Pfaff. “Hardworking families in western and central Wisconsin don’t want Derrick making their reproductive health care choices for them, and they deserve a candidate who isn’t afraid to talk about top-of-mind issues like reproductive freedom. I’m running to make Roe v. Wade the law of the land, and I’ll never stop fighting to protect your right to choose.”

“When working women have their rights stripped away and are treated like second class citizens, there are dire economic consequences,” said State Treasurer Godlewski. “Restoring reproductive freedom must be a top priority this election. Growing up in western Wisconsin, I know Brad will be the voice that western and central Wisconsin women and families need in Washington — and we need this voice more than ever.”

Like so many people in the district, Brad understands the disastrous consequence of having a radical like Derrick Van Orden making women’s reproductive health care choices for them. That’s why Brad was the first state legislator to ask Governor Evers to call a special session to codify Roe v. Wade into state law and to repeal the 1849 abortion ban law. And that’s why last month, Brad released a TV ad that features Brad, his wife Betty, and his daughter Lizzie talking about a difficult moment when Betty was pregnant with Lizzie, and the kinds of choices that only a family can make.
