From October 26, 2022 post
Today, Lt. Governor Mandela Barnes, Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate, released “Believe,” a new ad highlighting how he will fight for American workers and reminding Wisconsin voters that Ron Johnson has spent his 12 years in the Senate enriching himself and his donors. “Believe” is part of a multi-million dollar ad campaign on broadcast, cable, and digital throughout the state.
Unlike Ron Johnson, an out of touch, self-serving politician who spent his decade in office delivering for himself and his wealthy donors – Mandela Barnes will be a champion for Wisconsin workers and deliver a tax cut for the middle class so working people can keep more of what they earn.
The proud son of a union family, Mandela Barnes knows firsthand the opportunities that come when Wisconsin workers have the support they’ve earned. In the Senate, he’ll fight to rebuild the middle class by creating jobs, lowering costs, and making Wisconsin a leader in next-generation manufacturing.
Read a transcript of “Believe” below.
I see your hard work.
Everything you do to try to make it.
But people continue to be left behind.
I’m running for Senate to put more money in your pocket.
Ron Johnson’s had 12 years to make things better.
But costs are still rising and all he’s managed to do is write a tax cut for himself.
I believe better is possible. I believe hard work can pay off.
And I’ll never stop fighting until it does.
I’m Mandela Barnes and I approve this message.
