U.S. Senator Maggie Hassan (D-NH) issued the following statement on President Joe Biden’s nomination of Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to the Supreme Court:
“One of the most important responsibilities of the Senate is the confirmation of Supreme Court Justices. Judge Jackson is an accomplished jurist, and I look forward to thoroughly reviewing her record, her judicial philosophy, and her commitment to protecting the rights of all Americans, including upholding the constitutionally protected rights of women. During this time in our country’s history, a strong and independent judiciary is more important than ever, and I will approach the review of Judge Jackson with the seriousness and thoughtfulness that it deserves.”
