Claims media doesn’t “care about the people of this state” and wanted the storm to hit Tampa “because they thought it would be worse”
Charlie Crist, candidate for governor of Florida, released a statement following Ron DeSantis’s comments blaming the media for his own failure to push for an evacuation in Lee County.
This comes a day after DeSantis whined when reporters asked about his photo-op delaying relief efforts in hard-hit Arcadia.
In a statement, Charlie Crist said:
“A true leader is accountable for their words and deeds. It is disgusting to see Ron DeSantis blame anyone and everyone, whether it’s the media or Floridians who are trying to help their neighbors, rather than own up to his failure of leadership.”
