Blasts DeSantis for Attempting to Distract From His Extremist Anti-Woman Agenda
Today, Charlie Crist’s campaign for governor released a statement following news reports that Ron DeSantis and his Administration attempted to fly a group of migrants to Delaware but instead left them stranded in Texas in an attempt to “punk” journalists and members of the media.
This is the second cruel stunt played by the DeSantis Administration as he aims to appeal to his far right base for the 2024 Presidential nomination and shift the subject away from his intent for a complete abortion ban across Florida.
This month alone, over $1.5M has been spent out of Florida’s $12 million taxpayer-funded deportation fund.
“This second stunt makes Ron’s game even clearer: his only goal is to distract Floridians and the media from his extremist, anti-woman agenda and plans to ban abortion outright,” said Samantha Ramirez, Crist Spokesperson. “He should be held accountable by the media and the courts – but no one should fall for this shameful trick. We should all force Ron to answer for his abortion ban no matter how much of our money he wastes on these disgusting stunts.”
