Crist Vows to Fight for Those Who’ve Served

Watch Charlie’s Remarks Here

Alongside local veterans and community leaders, Charlie Crist, candidate for governor of Florida, announced his campaign’s newest policy plan, aimed at fighting for Floridians veterans and delivering the respect and support they deserve after bravely serving our nation.

Charlie’s “Veterans for Crist” plan will, among other things, focus on doing right by Florida’s vets and make Florida the number one state in America for veterans.

“Veterans for Crist” will engage state and federal agencies to:

  • Lower cost of living,
  • End homelessness,
  • Enhance mental health services and expand treatment courts for vets,
  • And assist the VA in keeping its promises.
Crist’s plan features policies that would make Florida toll roads free for veterans, lower property taxes, fight opioid addiction, legalize marijuana, and increase the number and size of housing units for low-income veterans.

“Veterans for Crist is about doing what’s right and putting our vets first, not last,” said Charlie Crist. “We have a plan to make Florida the number one state in America for veterans by fighting to lower the cost of living, working to end homelessness, enhancing medical and mental health services, and making sure VA facilities across the state have the resources and staff they need to fully care for our vets. As he fights culture wars and ignores the needs of our state, Ron DeSantis has forgotten our veterans like he has forgotten our Florida. I won’t.”
