Back Crist as Best Leader for Florida’s Hispanic Community

“While Charlie has a plan to help all Floridians, DeSantis has a plan to relocate to Washington, DC, and he wants to do it at the expense of Hispanics”

Today, Charlie Crist’s campaign for governor of Florida announced the endorsements of a group of key Congressional Hispanic leaders, including Congressman Joaquin Castro (TX), Congressman Ruben Gallego (AZ), Congresswoman Norma Torres (CA), Congressman Tony Cardenas (CA), Congressman Ritchie Torres (NY), and former Congressman Luis Gutierrez.

The endorsements of these national Hispanic leaders follows Crist recently also earning the endorsement of U.S. Representative Darren Soto as well as unveiling the “Boricuas Con Crist” plan, Charlie’s agenda to improve the quality of life for Florida’s Puerto Rican community and all Floridians. 

“I’m honored to earn the endorsement of these incredible Hispanic leaders from across the country as we fight to bring back kindness and decency to the Sunshine State,” said Charlie Crist. “DeSantis would rather use Venezuelan migrants as political pawns than address the real crises facing our state — it’s just the kind of governor he is. Floridians deserve a governor with a heart, a governor who will actually work to make Florida more affordable and welcoming for all. I’ll be that governor.” 

“With his heartless Venezuelan migrant stunt, Governor DeSantis has shown exactly the kind of leader he is — and Floridians, especially Hispanic Floridians, deserve better,” said Rep. Joaquin Castro. “It’s disgraceful that Governor DeSantis is planning additional flights while Florida recovers from Hurricane Ian. Every human deserves to be treated with respect and kindness and there’s only one candidate in the Florida governor’s race that understands that, and that’s Charlie Crist. I’m proud to endorse Charlie Crist for governor as he runs to defeat Ron DeSantis.”
“I served with Charlie in Congress. He is a fighter. As Governor, Charlie will protect all Floridians, and he will make sure that a woman’s medical decisions 

belong between that woman and her doctor,” Rep. Norma Torres said. “Ron DeSantis has shown us time and again that he will do the opposite of that. The choice is clear. I’m proud to endorse Charlie for governor of Florida.”

Ruben Gallego. “In Congress, Charlie was a proven champion for Florida’s Latino community, fighting for comprehensive immigration reform and fighting for every human to be treated with respect and compassion. Ritchie Torres. “To my fellow Puerto Ricans, I remind you that the future of the island is on the ballot. Whether it is the economic crisis, self determination, or the urgent need for sustainable reconstruction, it is clear we must support the island’s progress by voting for people like Charlie Crist with a proven track record of supporting our community.”
