Today, Charlie Crist, candidate for governor of Florida, closed out his 17 city “Together Florida Tour” by making stops in Port Charlotte and Fort Myers to drop off critical donations to Floridians hard hit by Hurricane Ian.

“I am in awe and thankful to Floridians across the state who joined us in our campaign efforts to lend a helping hand to our neighbors in need,” said Charlie Crist. “Because of the generosity of so many, we were able to donate thousands of dollars in critical supplies and do our part to help our state rebuild and recover.”

After a week’s worth of stops in cities across the state to collect donations, Crist and his team were able to drop off thousands of dollars worth of water, food, and critical supplies to Floridians across Southwest Florida

In Fort Myers, Charlie made sure donations went to often forgotten minority communities like Harlem Heights, and hosted a donation drive with a food truck in Dunbar where folks received supplies and plates of warm food.

This past weekend, Crist made final stops in Mount Dora and Tampa to collect additional donations to bring to Southwest Florida. Prior to that, he made sure to stop by Volusia County where Crist dropped off supplies to hurricane victims and surveyed the damage done to the area.
