Yesterday, candidate for U.S. Senate Cheri Beasley was joined by United States Senator Debbie Stabenow for her “For the People” Get Out the Vote Tour in Granville, Johnston, and Harnett Counties.

Cheri and Senator Stabenow, Chair of the Senate Agriculture Committee, visited a local farm in Granville County to hear how she can best support farmers in the U.S. Senate. In Johnston County, Cheri and Senator Stabenow joined Congressman Jim Clyburn to rally voters alongside Democratic candidates up and down the ballot. In Harnett County, Cheri and Senator Stabenow met with voters and talked about the importance of getting out the vote with 20 days until Election Day.  “I’m here to support Cheri because I know people can count on her to be an independent leader that fights for what’s best for our country and stands up for what’s right. The stakes of this election could not be higher – for North Carolina and for our nation – and I know that Cheri winning this race will mean progress for all of us,” said United States Senator Debbie Stabenow. “With less than three weeks left until the election, I am committed to reaching voters across the state–from farmers to students to small business owners– to hear about the issues that matter to them and to share my commitment to fighting for all North Carolinians starting on Day 1,” said Cheri Beasley. “With so much on the ballot, we truly can’t afford to sit out this election. I’m going to keep working hard to earn every single vote over these next 19 days.”

Cheri launched her “For the People” Get Out the Vote Tour to hold public forums and additional community conversations to reach voters across the state. Cheri continues to hold roundtables, meet with small business owners, hold community conversations on issues that matter to North Carolinians like lowering costs, supporting North Carolina’s farmers, and creating a Made-in-America economy, tour vocational and training facilities, visit North Carolina companies, and more.
