In the final two weeks of the campaign, Congressman Ted Budd has come out of hiding to hold events with voters – but voters aren’t showing up. While Cheri Beasley continues to meet voters where they are, from community centers to barbershops to college campuses, Ted Budd is relying on help from Washington politicians to turn out voters in ruby red counties – but it’s not working.
“It turns out when you spend six years failing to show up for North Carolina voters, voters don’t show up to give you six more years,” said Dory MacMillan, spokesperson for Cheri Beasley for North Carolina. “Ted Budd has made it clear that all he cares about is serving himself and special interests – and voters are making it clear that Ted Budd is not the right choice for North Carolina.”
