Yesterday, candidate for U.S. Senate Cheri Beasley was joined by Governor Roy Cooper, Dave Matthews, and Jaime Harrison, Chair of the Democratic National Committee for a concert to encourage people to get out the vote. Earlier in the day, Cheri held a community conversation with Women for Beasley in Apex to discuss what’s at stake in this election with politicians like Congressman Ted Budd working to roll back women’s rights.
“13 days to go – and we can do this. Folks across this state are fired up and headed to the polls because we know that our rights are on the line, a stronger economy is on the line, and even democracy is on the line. I’m ready to stand up to Washington and fight for what’s important for North Carolina every day,” said Cheri Beasley.
Cheri launched her “For the People” Get Out the Vote Tour to reach voters across the state and encourage people to vote. She is continuing to meet with small business owners, hold community conversations on issues that matter to North Carolinians like lowering costs, supporting North Carolina’s farmers, and creating a Made-in-America economy, tour vocational and training facilities, and visit North Carolina companies.
