Over the weekend, Michael joined Governor Jared Polis, Representative Joe Neguse, Attorney General Phil Weiser, Secretary of State Jena Griswold, Treasurer Dave Young, and other Democratic elected officials and candidates for more than a dozen canvass launches and bus tour stops across Colorado’s Front Range.
COLORADO VOTERS RALLIED IN SUPPORT OF DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATES AT THE CANVASS LAUNCH IN ARVADA.
Michael and his fellow Democratic candidates know that every vote matters in this election, and they have been sprinting to the finish line in the final days of the election. There are 13 days left until the general election and no matter where Democrats showed up over the weekend, massive crowds turned out to support candidates and volunteer their time for GOTV canvass launches.
On Friday evening, Michael attended the Colorado Black Round Table’s annual Gaining Ground in the Black Community Summit, where he and other Democrats recognized Democratic State Party Chair Morgan Carroll and the Black Democratic Legislative Caucus of Colorado for the work they’ve done.
On Saturday, after a quick stop at Lucky’s Market in Boulder for a pastry, Michael and other Democrats on the “Moving Colorado Forward” bus tour began their day with a stop by the Boulder County Democrats field office for a canvass launch.

The bus then made its way over to Arvada for another canvass launch, to support State Senator Brittany Pettersen, running for Colorado’s 7th Congressional District, and State Representative Brianna Titone, running for reelection in House District 27.
Following the canvass launch in Arvada, the bus stopped by yet another canvass launch at Pipefitters Hall in Adams County with the Local Pipefitters #208, where Michael and the other Democratic candidates and officials spoke about the importance of electing Democrats that will support workers and working families and work to pass legislation like the PRO Act.

After the canvass launch at Pipefitters Hall, the bus went to Rocky Mountain Lake Park in Denver for their final canvass launch of the day, where Michael and the other Democratic candidates and officials were joined by Shannon Watts, the founder of Moms Demand Action, alongside a huge crowd of Democratic volunteers and supporters that came out for the launch.

The bus tour’s next stop was in Thorton for a GOTV event with the South Asian Democrats, where Michael thanked the group for the hard work they’re doing to get the vote out in the final weeks of the election.
The final event of the day for the bus tour was a Rally to the Polls in Aurora with Shannon Watts and State Representative Tom Sullivan. Democrats thanked Shannon Watts and Moms Demand Action for their work in advocating for gun safety reform. Colorado’s tragic history with gun violence speaks to the importance of electing Democrats who will support commonsense gun safety legislation.

On Sunday, Michael and Colorado Democrats on the bus tour began their day by attending church services at True Light Baptist Church and Living Water Christian Church. Addressing the congregation at True Light Baptist Church, Michael said, “This November we may not win every race, but we may just save the democracy. That’s a fight worth having, a fight worth winning, and I’ll be with you every step of the way.”.
In the afternoon, the bus tour stopped by Highlands Ranch for a small canvass launch, before traveling south to Colorado Springs for another canvass launch. On their way to Colorado Springs, the bus made an impromptu stop at the Rocky Mountain Pinball Showdown, where Michael and Governor Polis talked with the owners and played a few games of pinball.

More than a hundred supporters turned out to the canvass launch in Colorado Springs, where Michael and the other Democratic candidates on the bus tour thanked them for all the hard work they’ve been doing to get Democrats elected and discussed the work Democrats are doing to protect democracy, take bold climate action, and support working families.
With only 13 days left until November 8, Michael’s campaign schedule is jam-packed with events all over the state to engage with voters and rally support for other Democratic candidates.
