Over the weekend, as part of the Moving Colorado Forward bus tour, Michael and a number of other Democratic elected officials and candidates made campaign stops in Southern Colorado. 

DENVER, CO ⁠⁠—  After several great events with Senator Cory Booker along I-70 last week, with stops in Idaho Springs, Eagle County, Golden, and Denver, Michael joined fellow Colorado Democrats over the weekend for more get-out-the-vote (GOTV) campaign events across Southern Colorado. With only eight days until the general election, Michael and his campaign team are keeping up the energy on the campaign trail and drawing large crowds to support his reelection campaign.

MORE THAN A HUNDRED PEOPLE CAME OUT FOR THE CANDIDATE MEET AND GREET AT THE POWERHOUSE IN DURANGO. 

The weekend kicked off successfully after a strong debate performance from Michael on Friday night. The date took place at Colorado State University in Fort Collins. Check out these highlight clips from the debate below:

On Saturday, Michael and his fellow Democratic candidates made their way to Southwest Colorado, beginning with a bus stop in Salida, followed by stops in Pagosa Springs and Durango. At the event in Salida – which drew a large crowd and a giraffe in a suit, Michael talked about the importance of getting out the vote in the final days of this election and talked about his priorities for Colorado.

The first stop of the day on Sunday was in Alamosa, where over 70 people came out for a canvass launch with Michael, Phil Weiser, Jena Griswold, Dave Young, Kathy Plomer, and Adam Frisch – candidate for Colorado’s 3rd Congressional District. After the canvass launch in Alamosa, the bus traveled east to the small town of Walsenburg for a GOTV stop, where almost 50 people came out to support Democrats – an impressive number for a town of only 3,000 people.

The bus tour ended its swing across Southern Colorado with stops in Pueblo and Colorado Springs, where hundreds of people showed up to meet Michael and the other Democratic candidates on the bus tour.
