In case you missed it, Michael joined KBNO radio host Fernando Sergio on-air for a live interview yesterday.
DENVER — With one week until Election Day, Michael went to the Spanish radio station KBNO for an in-studio interview with host Fernando Sergio.
Michael touted how his economic policies have helped hard-working families, like his expanded Child Tax Credit, which cut childhood poverty among Latino kids in Colorado by 40%.
He also reiterated his commitment to protecting Dreamers and creating a pathway to citizenship for them, something his opponent, Joe O’Dea, recently said he would oppose in a stand-alone bill.

- KBNO Host, Fernando Sergio: You have always been a proponent of DACA. You have supported the Dreamers. You have supported a path toward citizenship for those Dreamers. You debated your opponent on Friday and there was a distinct difference of opinion on DACA I would appreciate it if you would relay that to the listeners…
- Michael Bennet: Yes, thank you. We were asked during the debate whether we would support a stand-alone bill to create a pathway for the DACA recipients — for the Dreamers. And, I said of course. And my opponent said no – that he would not support a stand-alone bill, that he would only vote for DACA if it were tied to Donald Trump’s wall…
And these issues are so important. I mean they’ve always been incredibly important with respect to Dreamers, but now it’s even more urgent because the courts have told us that we need an act of Congress, that the Administration can’t do anything for the Dreamers administratively…
And 90% of the American people support a pathway to citizenship for the Dreamers, including a majority of Republicans…And I know also, Fernando, that most of your listeners also support a secure border for the United States of America as I do… But it’s just wrong to hold the DACA recipients hostage…
