From January 13, 2022 post

Don Coram brags a lot about working with Democrats. What Coram forgets to mention is that it’s so he can get rich.

• For five years as a Colorado State Representative and State Senator, Don Coram used his public office to work across the aisle to push seven pieces of hemp legislation at the state level. It was legislation he would personally benefit from.

• An ethics complaint was sent to then-Colorado State Attorney General Cynthia Coffman alleging Coram’s hemp scheme was launched “to enrich himself and his business partners at taxpayer expense”.

• Coram also voted for a new crowdsourcing funding method for Colorado start-up companies. Coram then used his public office to hold a press conference with other elected officials at the State Capitol to encourage Colorado citizens to invest in a hemp production company using this new investment vehicle. Coram bragged about the event on Facebook, but Coram failed in that post to mention Coram was actually the founder of the hemp production company he was promoting as an elected official.

• At the federal level, 21 days after Don Coram met with U.S. Senator Michael Bennet to promote hemp growing, Senator Bennet announced he would be co-sponsoring the Hemp Farming Act of 2018, removing industrial hemp from the Controlled Substances Act.

• Eight months later, in December, 2018, the federal government legalized hemp growing operations.

• The same month the federal government legalized hemp, Don Coram announced his private company contracted with a CBD company for “around $50,000 per acre” and anticipated more than 500 acres of production.

$50,000 x 500 acres = $25,000,000 in revenue that Don Coram stood to directly benefit from as a result of his actions as a Colorado lawmaker.

Lauren Boebert for Congress is launching a digital, radio, newspaper and direct mail campaign to expose Don Coram’s corrupt $25 million scheme. The radio advertisement, substantiation of claims and more details are now available at CorruptCoram.com.
