(McArthur, CA) – Today, Congressman Doug LaMalfa (R – Richvale) announced the official renaming of the Post Office located at 44160 State Highway 299 East Suite 1 in McArthur, to the "Janet Lucille Oilar Post Office". Congressman LaMalfa previously introduced this designation as a bill in August of 2018, and it was signed into law in December of that year.
“Janet Oiler truly was a pillar of the town of McArthur. Through her 32 years of service working for the United States Postal Service, she left a lasting impact that will be felt by generations to come. She saw the need for growth and created the way for not only one new post office location in McArthur, but two. Her devotedness to her family, her home, and to the entire town makes her so deserving of this dedication. Throughout her career as Post Master, she made customer service her priority. I am pleased to be able to honor her legacy today,” said Congressman LaMalfa.
Congressman Doug LaMalfa is a lifelong farmer representing California’s First Congressional District, including Butte, Glenn, Lassen, Modoc, Nevada, Placer, Plumas, Shasta, Sierra, Siskiyou and Tehama Counties.
