The Latest: With a historically low supply of diesel reserves, once again, Americans are forced to bear the brunt of President Biden’s self-inflicted energy crisis. As families and businesses still struggle to afford daily needs because of the Democrat-caused inflation, Republican lawmakers highlighted yet another hit to our economy and the supply chain. Last week, HEAT Leaders issued a statement warning Americans of the severe economic impacts to come because of low diesel reserves and higher prices per barrel.

Representative Doug Lamborn (R-Colo.) warned that increased costs from the energy crisis would be passed on to consumers as the U.S. diesel supply dwindles under President Biden.

Representative Larry Bucshon (R-Ind.) called President Biden’s plan to institute a new excise tax, which is also known as a Windfall Profits Tax, on energy company profits another desperate political move.
