Florida

ORGANIZATIONS IN THIS STORY

From October 18, 2022 post

Marco Rubio believes that families fighting pediatric cancer need access to more treatment options.

In the Senate, Rubio has fought to ensure there are innovative and promising treatment options for pediatric cancer:

  • Wrote and passed the RACE for Children Act, which expanded treatment options.
  • Introduced the Give Kids a Chance Act, which would expand children’s access to combination cancer therapy trials.
  • Introduced the Gabriella Miller Kids First Research Act 2.0 to provide additional funding to the National Institutes of Health’s Gabriella Miller Kids First Pediatric Research Program.
Too many families in Florida confront the nightmare of having a child diagnosed with pediatric cancer, and Rubio remains committed to passing meaningful legislation that will bring us closer to finding a cure.
