From September  21, 2022 post.

Rep. Earl L. “Buddy” Carter (R-GA) announced the formation of the Vehicle Data Access Caucus, a bipartisan initiative that aims to bring real solutions regarding vehicle data privacy to the House Floor.

“I am excited to form the Vehicle Data Access Caucus to better facilitate bipartisan, bicameral solutions on vehicle data privacy. While it is important that Congress not impede private sector innovation, we must ensure that users have access to the data being collected from them and that the information is shielded from bad actors here and abroad. Privacy, security, and innovation should go hand-in-hand,” said Rep. Carter.

This Caucus is supported by the American Rental Car Association, National Consumers League, Automotive Recyclers Association, the Automotive Service Association, and the NAFA Fleet Management Association.
