From November  4, 2022 post.

Following Georgia House Leader David Ralston’s announcement that he will not seek another term in the leadership post, Rep. Earl L. “Buddy” Carter (R-GA) thanked his friend for his service to the Peach State:

“Serving alongside David Ralston, and sharing an office with him, was an honor. The whole state of Georgia is better off for his leadership. While I am saddened to hear of his retirement, I am glad that he is putting his health first while continuing to bring positive change to the great people of Georgia as a state legislator. Thank you, friend – your leadership will be missed.”
