With two days left until the election, U.S. Senator Patty Murray (D-WA) was joined by Doug Emhoff as she continued her packed campaign schedule with stops in Kent, Kirkland, and Everett. On the trail, Patty highlighted her successful record of fighting for Washington state and working to lower costs and build an economy that works for everyone, not just billionaires and big corporations.
In case you missed it, here’s today’s latest serving of campaign trail mix from the People for Patty Murray Campaign:
Early this morning, Patty spoke at a canvass launch event in Kent with Moms Demand Action Founder Shannon Watts, Reps. Kim Schrier (WA-08) and Adam Smith (WA-09), and other Democratic candidates, volunteers, and supporters.Murray highlighted her work in passing the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act this summer and her commitment to passing further gun safety reforms like universal background checks and an assault weapons ban. Murray’s opponent, MAGA Republican Tiffany Smiley, has refused to back any additional gun safety measures, despite being repeatedly pressed on the issue, including during both debates. Her “public safety” platform doesn’t mention gun violence a single time.
Afterwards, Patty was joined by Doug Emhoff at a canvass launch in Kirkland, where they were joined by Rep. Suzan DelBene (WA-01), State Senators Patty Kuderer (LD-48) and Manka Dhingra (LD-45), and other Democratic candidates, volunteers, and supporters.
Next, Patty and Doug stopped by Tutta Bella Neapolitan Pizzeria in Kirkland and met with the owners and employees.
Patty and Doug then headed to Everett, where they were joined by Reps. Suzan DelBene (WA-01) and Rick Larsen (WA-02), State Senator John Lovick (LD-44), and other Democratic candidates, volunteers, and supporters. Patty spoke to voters and volunteers about her work to lower costs, defend our democracy, and protect a woman’s right to choose — and the clear differences between herself and her opponent on these key issues, and many others.
