REP. FRENCH HILL COMMENTS ON PRESIDENT BIDEN’S “UNREALISTIC” BUDGET REQUEST

Arkansas

Rep. French Hill (AR-02) today issued the following statement after President Biden released his FY2022 budget proposal:“Why did President Biden decide to release his budget to the American people on the Friday of a three-day weekend when nobody is paying attention? Because his budget proposal is nothing more than a far-left wish list that caters to the most progressive elements of his party. On top of his excessive $1.9 trillion partisan and untargeted spending bill passed not even two months ago in March, President Biden has proposed further spending, this time to the tune of $6 trillion in his budget request to Congress. The spending, deficits, and debt are not sustainable. He needs to be a leader and return to reality, because if he doesn’t Arkansans will see the effects of this spending in gas to get to work, groceries for our families, and school supplies for our kids. Inflation is ultimately just another tax on the hardworking Americans trying to make a living wage.”
