From December 7, 2021 post.

Today, Congressman Bob Latta (R-OH5) released the following statement after voting in favor of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA).

“The NDAA is a critical piece of legislation that authorizes funding for our military, provides a pay increase for our troops, includes needed support for military families, and holds the Biden Administration accountable for its disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan. This bill reverses President Biden’s reckless cuts to our national security, restores funding for shipbuilding, procurement, and missile defense. I am pleased to see that the final conferenced version excludes the provisions dealing with Red Flag laws and adding women to the draft. I worked with my colleagues to make sure these provisions were not in the final bill.  Our Armed Forces should have the resources they need to confront threats in an increasingly dangerous world, and that is why I support this bill.”
